NUGOLD GUNDOGS

WELCOME TO NUGOLD GUNDOGS - LAGOTTO ROMAGNOLO AND GOLDENS

We welcome enquiries from Inter state, intra state and Overseas

Hi everyone.  It is great to be back home again,  and getting back with my family and my dogs - who I have missed very much - even though I am not sure they have missed me at all!!!

I  am really looking forward to now being in a position to having the time to put into my beautiful lagotti - and I will never forget those who got me started in this breed - Dr Margaret Giles for her kind help and support over the years and Cristina and David Rimini (Cryout) for their help and assistance in bringing over the Lagotto from Italy.... Thank you all for your help.

I am looking forward to being at home, spending time with my dogs and renovating my home - that will keep me busy enough for many months I am sure!!  I will then have the luxury of being able to concentrate on this breed and get back into the showing scene in 2011 and campaign the stunning lagotti.   This year though, I need to spend the time back with my family (human and doggie) getting back into a routine and working on the old home trying to put in a little self sufficiency in the garden!

We are blessed that our Peaches is having a litter now, as I am so keen to keep a puppy from her.  We are also blessed with an unexpected addition to our lagotti family with one of the girls we bred several years ago, coming back home to us, and we will be having a litter from her to our Hugo later this year.

For prospective purchasers we want you to know what those conditions are:  Firstly, prior to letting anyone have a Nugold Lagotto we will need to know about the home and environment you can offer.  We consider that only fair and reasonable - given we bring these babies into the world, nurture them at the foot of the bed (Yep, I know!!), kiss and cuddle them, play and hug them....well, I am sure you can understand why we ask such questions of the new moms and dads!  This we already ask and require.

Secondly, we offer an inclusive package  given to each new "parent".   Whilst we have always tried to give as much of the following as possible. We will always strive to improve and believe this is a step forward:  This consists of the following:

  • Comprehensive dietary instructions
  • Breed information
  • Grooming information
  • Sire and Dam background information
  • Both parents health checked
  • X-rayed
  • Vet checked at 6 and 8 weeks and/or prior to leaving us
  • wormed and vaccinated (you will be required to provide a further vaccination around 12/13 weeks) Worming tablet will be provided for the 12 week worming
  • microchipped
  • Pet Plan Insurance for the first 6 weeks
  • desexed (puppy does not leave me until between 10-11 weeks)
  • Pedigree - Registration Certificate to be posted to owner once registration is completed at Canine Association of Western Australia
  • Contract - advising the terms and condition of sale (whether sold as a pet or show/breeding)
  • practical advice and assistance 7 days a week either by telephone or email.
  • Pet pack
  • Raised in a loving, family home.
  • Full support - I am only a phone or email away!

Costs:             $1900  DESEXED.

The price quoted is for a pet.

We are happy to consider selling for Show (if and when we have a puppy that we would consider keeping ourselves that is!) - however, this is not something we will do lightly, and whilst we are keen to encourage the promotion of this beautiful breed, we also have a responsibility.

Our main concern is for the purity of this beautiful breed.  We are determined that "as best as we can" the breed will remain true to the standard and the way the Italian Breeders of Lagotto intended.  To do anything less would be disrespectful and would not have the breed at their heart!

It is extremely important to us that we ensure that this breed remains true to the intentions of those Italian Breeders who have now allowed us to be part of this wonderful breed.  Ensuring the breed standard is maintained by type, height, weight, coat (the curls in the coat are most important feature of the breed).  We are all relatively new in Australia with this breed, and interpretations on what is and is not correct,  is an area that we need to be vigilant with.  The Lagotto Romagnolo are excellent companions and are a true pleasure to have in my life.  I am blessed that I can be part of introducing this stunning breed into Australian homes!

We are small family breeders, whose dogs are part of the family.  Our emphasis is on breeding to the highest standard we possibly can achieve. This have involved many years of research, before importing new bloodlines to Australia. This is to ensure that the animals we have are from excellent bloodlines, are healthy.  With such a small gene pool in Australia, we believe we need to import for the future good of this breed in Australia. We are also blessed that we can be entrusted with such precious animals by those breeders who will allow us to import to Australia.  We thank you!

We pride ourselves on being FAMILY ORIENTATED, always being available to have a chat or lend support no matter what the issue - not only with our own puppies - but with any advice or assistance we are able to offer.
